oh, Jonathan Winters. you were such a delightful and original presence throughout much of Winters Tales life, so I'm just going to have to edit my memories and pretend I never tried reading this collection of half-baked stories that go nowhere fast, have nothing to say, and have punchlines that are either so awkward-corny-grandpa or so weakly nihilism-lite that I spent an inordinate amount of time /5(25).

Seven Gothic Tales, Dinesen's first collection of stories, published inis one of my favorite books, but I had never read Winter's Tales until now. The stories in Winter's Tales are mostly set in Denmark, in the 19th and early 20th by: 1.
